Good afternoon everyone!!! I have some news. I ended up scraping my manga story due to my beliefs, so I'm making a story that's morality-driven, set in modern day Japan, and has some light-hearted moments, such as comedy. Any ideas are welcome, if you have them. I'm currently making a few, and then I'm gonna pick the ones I like best.
I was thinking of a sort of urban/street witch sort of story. Basically, I want a modern fantasy story that still has that "is it right" feel while not disrespecting God. I'm cool with using fantasy story or myth/urban legends, but I feel like witches are overused. You guys have any ideas?
Here is what I mean: I want to make a fiction manga that focuses around a certain type of mythical being. I don't want to write vampires, werewolves (etc) cuz they are VERY overused and already have that "Twilight" romancey vibe that would be hard to get rid of in the story (my version of vamps and werewolves are pretty dark, cuz that's what they are). Witches are a fun idea, but there are lots of stories and mangas around them (Flying Witch, Generation Witch, etc). Though a street witch would be awesome (I'm still planning on giving the main character that "street" vibe). Anyway, I just want to create a unique modern-day fantasy.
