ammyk But aren’t a lot of clothes made from types of plastic? I think cutting down on plastic use is a good idea, but it is still useful. (And a few people not using plastic isn’t going to make the companies stop churning out plastic products and harmful waste.)

lunamoonlight Somewhat related but something I don't get about how throwing something away is better the littering- One cup from McDonalds in a ditch somewhere is gonna decompose in about 20-50 years depending on the material, but when it's piled amongst layers of itself in a landfill, it will wait until the rest of it below is decomposed or drifts into the oceans, or it itself will and kill some animals, and then eventually it might get to the bottom and decompose hundreds if not thousands of years later.
