PrincessLuna It is like any book club I decide on a book and anyone interested reads it and discusses it. I haven't decided on one for November yet and in December everyone's busy with Christmas so this month's book will be for November and December and then after that we will do one a month.

WhizKid 1000 + 40 + 1000 + 30 + 1000 + 20 + 1000 + 10 = ?, so 1000 + 40 is 1040, add another 1,000 = 2040, add 30 = 2070,, add 1,000 = 3070, add 20 = 3090, add 1,000 = 4090, and add 10 more = 4,100. Is that it?

WhizKid I think it might be more difficult if you say it to a person and they try to do it in their head, since you can make more common mistakes like adding to the wrong decimal column. My first answer was also 5000 but since I knew that was wrong I was more careful the second time.
