ASTO-NYELLE (Quenya: 'dust-bell' One of the speical flower types in the Garden by the Stream. It was described as a yellowish
blossom that appeared as a lily.

ELDASELDE EARWENION (Quenya: 'starchild/daughter of seamaiden' A prophectic song about Lindalen. The name referred to her as Varda's Maiden.

EVENING QUEEN Epihet of Arwen, as called by her subjects. It was inspired by another one of her names, Evenstar.

FANYA BOWS (Quenya: 'white' The pure, powerful Losalad bows.

GARDEN BY THE STREAM Plot of forested land behind Elessar's Gondorian castle. It was called this after Varda planted the Losalad woods and new flowers such as the astonyelle, helce and other Quenya-named flowers.

GILOSONUI (Sindarin: 'ice star shards'; sing. gilosonue) Arrows that only Losalad bows could shoot. They had a clear silver shaft with small white gems glittering inside and a crystal arrowhead. They could pierce normal people but were the only arrows that could effect dark spirits like Nazgul.

HELCERCE (from Quenya: helce 'ice' and serce 'blood' A bluish silver flower likened to a snowdrop flower. In the winter, instead of wilting, they bled pale red. In the spring, they were pure white but by summer faded back to their normal color.

LINDALEN (from Quenya: lindale 'song' and elen 'star' (b. FO early 1st Cent.) Dunadan, princess of the Reunited Kingdom, daughter of King Elessar and Queen Arwen. She was known for her bowmanship (and fletching) and skill with light blades such as swords or daggers. She was also a great hunter and scout.
She was shorter at about 5'3" or so. She was nimble and quiet, and was overall a very observant princess. She appeared to be a youth of about 16, had dark brown hair and hazel eyes, and wore greens along with blacks and earthy browns. Her clothes techinally carried star or forest symbols, such as leaves, trees, or twigs, and only wore heavy dresses on formal occassions; otherwise she wore light silk or velvet dresses that hit her knees or tunics that covered her upper legs. She perferred long sleeves but wore short ones when hunting.
She was a master with a bow, hitting things from miles off. She was skilled with hand-to-hand and knives, and could use a sword well. However, she didn't like maces, axes, throw weapons, or anything heavy or too large. She was shy but could lead well, and was unfailingly kind and merciful, even when in battle. She could have a sharp tongue at times.
She never wed, but led alongside her brother Eldarion. She died at age 130, never aging a day over 19 or so, and was allowed into the Grey Havens upon her death. She became Varda's Lady in Waiting according to the legend Eldaselde Earwenion.
Also known as Luvalindelë or (as a last name) Lomionrim, along with several Mannish names. Her parents called her Lindsie.

LINDSIE (from Quenya: linde 'singer' e 'of' and silma 'star(s)' Elessar and Arwen's nickname for Lindalen. Also spelled (by hobbits, such as in Twilight Verses) Lyndsey.

LIMERRINA (Quenya: 'light-crowned' (Appeared FO) A form of Varda that travelled to Aman to plant the White Forest. This spirit never called herself by any name, but Lindalen called her this name. She had white clothes, and her hair was like a galaxy of stars: others had seen her briefly but called her the Witch of the Garden by the Stream due to her unusual garden of white trees, williows, and magical flowers.

LOMIONRIM (Quenya: 'of the twilight people' Lindalen, as a sort of surname, referring to her looks and her elvish mother.

LOSALAD (Sindarin: from los 'snow/white' and galad 'tree' White Faerie trees. In Quenya they were called Ninquealda, which meant the same thing. The trees had white bark, and bloomed different colors in different seasons: white in winter, blue in summer, pale green in spring, and gold in autumn. When Lindalen was close to death, the flowers started to turn black.
The bows made from these trees were strong, thin, and flexible. Lindalen made bows from these trees and sold ones that weren't pure Losalad wood. These bows, called Sinde, as opposed to the Losalad Fanya bows, are weaker but were used as excellent bows for the small miltia.

LUVALINDELE (Quenya: 'song of the bow' Lindalen. Used as 'Queen Luvalindele': the name became something of a legend. It referred to her great bow and fletching skills.

SINDE BOWS (Quenya: 'grey' Impure Losalad bows. They could shoot any arrow but Gilosonui, but were strong and used frequently in miltia warfare or by guards.

SIRERYN (Sindarin: 'stream forest' The Sindarin name of the Garden by the Stream due to all the trees.

SYLPHIDE FLETCHER Name of Lindalen, one used by other peoples when speaking of her bowmaking skills. She was a great bowmaker and others knew not her name, only this term used to refer to her. Her bows were famously made of a speical type of wood called Losgalad, that was like white pine. Sylphide is French for 'fairylike being'- or in this case, 'elf'.

TWILIGHT PRINCESS Name of Lindalen, referring to her looks. This was a common epihet the commonfolk used, in comparsion to her mother Arwen, who was the Evening Queen.

TWILIGHT VERSES Poetry book written by a hobbit of the Shire in the late second century of the Fourth Age containing Lindalen's songs. Lindalen was throughout referred to as Lindsie or Lyndsey.
