Been drawing a bit lately (got about 7 to 8 art pieces to share and 2/3 sketches to share), so when I can I'll post. I may not be able to draw any OCs RN, I am quite busy. I hope I can get my device these weekend so I can show y'all my new arts (lol... I get better everyday... so when people comment on my old art like WOW Imma like, you should see what I drew yesterday XD). Looking forward to seeing y'alls arts!

JD2005 Ok!

Queeny OK! And yeah, the more you draw, the better you get! I could draw a sketch and think it's the best thing I drew yet, and then I draw another sketch two minutes later to find MAJOR differences (In my eyes at least lol)

KnightStar Ya! I agree! I'm not getting better everyday though!!!!😮😩 but you are!!! Your awesome!!!

GemHeart Thx y'all ;)

Checking in! Gotta go get my hair done... ugh. I'm thinking about getting an "angled" bob cut, 'cept the hair would be longer.

JD2005 Oh!

Queeny Cool! I have a Bob hairstyle that a bit long as well!

KnightStar I wanna get my hair done, to be honest!!! I already have a bob styled hair, though a little too near my shoulder, and my hair grows fast! Mine is a little shorter than Queeny's!!

FunHeart1010 Ooooo coollll!

Those of you on my manga planning club, I asked some questions regarding plot and your characters! PLZ CHECK OUT! See you tomorrow!

JD2005 Kk!

#DrawingTips Part 7: Black In White Pencil Art

1. Any pencil will do, but #2s work best. Make sure you ink beforehand for the best results (see Part 5, Sharpies work fine if you have nothing else).
2. With pencils, you can fade very well, even without a blending stump. Start with dark shadows and keep close to the previous shade, slowly lightening.
3. Shading eyes with pencils give you nice effects. Fade the eye as it reaches the bottom, and erase for highlights. Some artists color the eyes with actual color even in black n white pics, and it also gives a colorful effect.
4. Never try to smudge pencil, it doesn't work well. Always check your eraser, you may have erased so much pencil already the excess may smudge on your drawing.
5. Always draw with a sharpened pencil. Dull pencils make a drawing overly dark and heavy (unless you want that effect).
6. Don't shade with highlights are (if you do, erase gently).
7. Don't lean the heel of your hand on the pencil too much, or when you bring your hand up you will leave pencil excess on your clean paper.
8. Don't use overly small pencils. Just don't!

Thanks for reading, if you need any more tips please comment below. I will make tips about coloring (color pencil) and shading (pencil) hair next, then skin after that, then your questions.

JD2005 Great advice! TNQ!

GemHeart Thx u! ;D

FunHeart1010 Thanks!!!!!!

#DrawingTips Part 6: Coloring with Colored Pencils

1. Colored pencils are very cheap art supplies and I use them a lot. Make sure you find a pack with skin-colored pencils as well as normal ones.
2. Be careful and plan ahead. You can't color over colored pencils like you can with some other supplies. So, establish your highlights and make a mental note not to color those.
3. Color shadows first, when you press down hardest on the pencils.
4. Depending on your style, you can spend as much as 3 to 4 hours coloring something to 30 mins to an hour. Coloring with care and making every detail visible takes a long time, but it can produce a wonderful piece.
5. Watercolor pencils are good for drawings but they are more expensive. Stay in your budget. I use Crayola colored pencils for my color art and it comes out well, so don't be afraid to go "cheap", just make sure it's okay quality.
6. Don't over color, which makes the paper heavy and messy.
7. Using colored pencils for eyes aren't the best choice unless you're good with them OR you want to achieve a simple look. Using white paint on colored pencils eyes are add some shine.
8. Sometimes using mixed media can give you a feel for a drawing. Colored pencils are be used to connate roughness or softness, depending on your media and picture.
9. Save color by using only as much as you need.

KnightStar GREAT ADVICE!!

JD2005 Thx 4 your advice!

JD2005 BTW, I use Artline coloured pencils.

Queeny Good advice! I usually use water color pencils, they are one of my favorite art supplies. Where I come from they are pretty cheap, only $1.75 for an 8 pack

Tintin1956 thx

GemHeart Thank you guys! ;)

#DrawingTips Part 5: Inking with Black Pens
I used to do this series when KidzNet started (I quit doing it 7 months ago, but I'll start it again!)

1. Make a light sketch first. This helps you when you ink, cuz you can see the final product, but make your marks very, very light with pencil or it'll be hard to erase.
2. Ink with smooth lines. Don't be sketchy with inking unless you want the drawing to look sketchy. Go over your lines smoothly, and don't "chicken-scratch".
3. Keep old pens, because the fading ink can help with certain shading techniques.
4. Save ink by only using ink on drawings you want to color or pencil shade.
5. Use ink when scanning into digital coloring apps, because it helps your deice detect the drawing.
6. Fine-tip Sharpies are go-tos for lots of artists, which is fine. If you use these and not quick-dry varieties that can be more pricey, wait at least 30 mins before shading or coloring to prevent smudging. With quick-dry pens, you do not have to wait.
7. Leave some pencil for certain styles of drawing. For my anime style, I frequently leave some pencil for the eyelashes on women and girls. It gives it a fuller look. Just ink outside the lashes for the full effect.
8.Use ink for eyes by making lines across the top of the eye. It is a certain style some people prefer, though not all people use.

Thanks for reading and press the hashtag for more! I will try to post some of these posts every few days.

JD2005 Great advice! Will follow 'em!

GemHeart Thx u!

Ugh... it was so cold and rainy yesterday when we did archery (when I got a 107, and I had to shot in the rain, no tents)! Who else was freezing cold and wet?!

KnightStar LOL didn't rain where I am. That does not sound good!

GemHeart That's odd, cuz we both live in FL, but oh well

KnightStar Sometimes when it's raining and we just go thirty from our house, it's sun shining LOL.

KnightStar oh wait...it did rain...

List of plots of my new KS manga... which is best?

-The generic high school story
Perhaps our main characters are heading to their first year at high school, and they form a club for people of like-minded interests, therefore, bringing the main characters together and starting off the story.
-High school with a touch of magic/mystery
Or we model our story like lots of the shonen-type action comics, in which the main character is a student, but school isn't the main focus. Instead, their quest for power or their travel to another world or realm or whatever is the story focus, the main plot (think Bleach).

These are our first few decisions about the manga, the main, general plot. We can always add or change things. Which do you like best, and what are your ideas?

JD2005 High school with a touch of mystery.

GemHeart KK!

KnightStar Hmm, high school with mystery or magic!

GemHeart KK, that's sorta my only bet...

Crystal High school with a touch of magic!

KnightStar ya!

Character sketch I drew for the manga adaption of the James Patterson book Maximum Ride, Which is good and about 6 “mutant bird kids” who have wings and are an experiment of the “School”, a laboratory trying to make powerful weapons out of humans. There’s Max (a girl, whose 14), Fang (a boy, also 14), Iggy (boy, blind, 14), Nudge (girl, 11), Gazzy (boy, 8ish), and Angel (girl, 6, and Gazzy’s sister). It’s quite an interesting teen series, and if you like comics, the NaraLee (a Korean manga artist) adaption is great, but if you like books, the original novels are good as well! Max is the main!

Jeep named this girl Vinny.

Queeny I've heard of the books and plot, but never read the books myself.

Queeny *But the art is great!

KnightStar Cool!

GemHeart Thx u!
