What anime have y’all read or watched?
I’m starting on Tokyo Ghoul. I really like it so far, but I’m only on the second Vl. I never got to finish Bleach, but I’m trying to. I read Black Cat all the way, I read 2 Vls of Sailor Moon, read Ame and Yuki: Wolf Children, and I tried out Jeanne.
Any others you can recommend?
Tokyo Ghoul:
About a college student called Kaneiki after he became a ghoul-human hybrid after a date with a girl named Rize. Ghouls are just like people except they can’t eat our food and have to eat us to survive. Very gory and rated Older Teen.
Bleach:
I can’t begin on the awesomeness of this series. Follow Ichigo as he strives to save his friend Rukia after she gives him Soul Reaper powers to protect his family and she gets sentenced to death for it. Funny, mod. language, and rated Teen.
Black Cat:
Train Heartnet was an infamous killer for Chronos until his best friend Saya was killed by Creed. Now he goes after Creed to avenge Saya and his friends. Not gory, but lots more language. Rated older teen, but is ok for teens.
Sailor Moon:
No offense, but this was the worst manga I’ve read. Rated teen, and very romance-y and corny. It’s about Usagi/Sailor Moon and her quest to save the world, secure the Legendary Diamond Crystal, and find her lost love. She’s supposed to be 14, and there’s a talking cat. It’s funny, but I didn’t like it too much.
Ame and Yuki:
The first manga I read. It was good and based off a movie. It wasn’t funny, except in a few points, but it’s good. A mother, after being widowed by her wolf-human husband, struggles to raise her two kids, Ame and Yuki, on her own, and her kids struggle with choosing rather to be a wolf or human, all while keeping the secret from the their peers.
Jeanne:
Should have NOT been rated E. It was a teen book and had some wrong scenes. Used Christian and Jewish lore to set up the story and was disrespectful to some religions. Actually, Black Cat did that some too.
Alice in the Country of Hearts:
An alternate Alice story if all the animals were people and Alice could have relationships with them. Rated older teen for a reason. Very romance-y, but funny, as Alice is a very down to earth character. Has good mystery, but some parts were not for younger audiences.
For younger kids, I suggest Bleach, Ame and Yuki, and maybe Jeanne.
PrincessLuna Do you know any manga for kids?
GemHeart Yeah. There’s one called Prince of Tennis!
Here’s a follow up comic to my other one!
