My most important poem I have ever wrote. Dear My Darkness.
Dear My Darkness,
You broke me down, made me feel hopeless
But I'm still standing
My happyness isn't something I'm pretending
Caring about myself,
Despite what you said, isn't selfish
You brought a little friend
That little critic voice inside my head
The voice that I no longer listen to
Because I'm getting better and I'm going to defeat you
I'm no longer afraid of the dark of night
Because it's all erased with one little light
A light I can find inside my soul
My soul that's no longer under your control
You might have left many in defeat
But I'm the one that won't be beat
My favorite color might be black you know
But that doesn't mean I don't see the whole rainbow
Light is the thing my eyes are starting to see
And despite everything you have said, I deserve to be happy.

So I had a test today. I took a reading and math one. The test is an online one and it adjusts each time you answer a question to make it challenging for you. For the math test, I guessed a lot and only got easy questions right. I also rushed it. The score required by my grade level is about 230. I got above the grade level and the 11th-grade level, and above the college-readiness level (247) since I got 251. For the Reading test, I kept getting passages from authors like Emily Dickenson, Charles Dickens, Mark Twain, Shakespeare, Walt Whitman, etc. My grade level's goal is around 220. The college readiness was 230. I got 256. AND I got my Lexile range. If you don't know what a Lexile range is, it's your reading level. A 200L score is basically "you can read a picture book". My grade usually has a 1050L-1075L range. The Lexile level for seniors is 1200L+. I got a Lexile range of 1610-1720. That is like a college senior's level reading. The highest possible Lexile score is 2000L.
