What does your family having dinner look like?
For our family, we do not have a dining room, there is a table in the kitchen but it is buried pretty much. So we get our food, my mom sits in her chair, my dad in his, and me and my bro are sitting on the couch, and we are all watching the TV, usually watching something we all like and can agree on, Lucifer, Bob's Burgers, Family Guy, The Adventures of Sabrina, The Librarians, ect. Wednesdays it is The Masked Singer. Dinner is the most peaceful time, where everyone is content.

KnightStar My house is really, really old fashioned, with tons of antiques. so my dinning room is a pretty big table for our pretty big family. we have a lot of gourmet stuff, my mom loves cooking, and basic southern food (mashed potaters, beans, gravy, meat, all that good homes-cooked stuff.)
Queeny Dinner is pretty quiet. My family gathers around the dining table, some days only half the family decide to have dinner, other days everyone's there. My mom and dad will probably make small talk about something but besides that nobody really does anything besides eat.
TylerTheDrummer We usually just sit at the table and watch TV. We usually watch the Andy Griffith Show or Good Mythical Morning on youtube.
FunHeart1010 We usually eat some pork chops, mash potatoes (or mac and cheese), and some veggies.
lunamoonlight Food is normally instant stuff in my house, but we do have home-cooked stuff o ccationally.

Jabber We all sit at different corners of the table and talk about stuff that my 6 year old brother shouldn't know about, we usually eat something different every time ( Always rice ) Brown rice, greenish rice, weird sticky rice. I would not be surprised if my mom out of the blue finds blue rice and brings it home.
GemHeart We have a dining room now (we used to not have one). My parents sit at the far ends and us kids on the sides. We talk about a lot of stuff. (Us kids eat alone sometimes and we talk about things like Book Character VS Book Character from Different Fandom, who would win?) The topic varies. After dinner we watch a show, like Leverage, Pysch, Worst Cooks... etc.
Pumpkin we all sit at the table at my moms house. At my dads, we eat anwhere.

For some reason when I am watching anime now, I keep thinking of the "Most-Likely to be Gay" characters. There will be one character that I watch for awhile and keep asking if they are gay or not. If you look hard enough, there is one in just about every show.

Me by the end of the 10th episode- NOPE! SHE IS A MAIN CHARACTER, SHE NOT GONNA DEAD! SHE NOT GONNA DEAD!
I think watching anime until 1:00 AM might be taking it's toll on my brain cells.

JD2005 16-year-old girl and 36-year-old guy!? NO WAY, CREEP.
Since I had tried to come out to my mom, and she did not believe me but said that would be fine if I was, whenever she talks about me dating someday, or anything with my love life, she always uses non-gender specific pronouns, like they, them, somebody, someone. I like that she does that, because it is not telling me to be straight, it is one of her ways of saying for me to love whoever i want. And also me dad doesn't pick up on it.
