A Light To Call Home
Julia Brennan

Scars that's all I have
Pain that's all I feel
People stop and stare
But they have no idea
And through these tears
And through this pain
I will stand, once again
Cause I may be homeless, but not hopeless
Fatherless but fearless
I've got myself, I've got my freedom
But I'm searching for my home
Cause I am hurting but not helpless
Full of strength and scars
I'm out here in the darkness
Looking for a light to call home
Looking for a light to call home
Fear that's all I own
Smiles don't come so easy
I'm out here all alone
You've got it good, believe me
Through these tears
And through this pain
I will stand, once again
Cause I may be homeless but not hopeless
Fatherless but fearless
I've got myself, I've got my freedom
But I'm searching for my home
Cause I am hurting but not helpless
Full of strength and scars
I'm out here in the darkness
Looking for a light to call home
Looking for a light to call home
Strong that's what I am
Okay, that's what I will be
You might not understand
But I won't let that define me
Cause I may be homeless but not hopeless
Fatherless but fearless
I've got myself, I've got my freedom
But I'm searching for my home
Cause I am hurting but not helpless
Full of strength and scars
I'm out here in the darkness
Looking for a light to call home
Looking for a light to call home
Looking for a light to call home
Looking for a light to call home

lunamoonlight Great Song

Flarf. I missed most of my class connect, I got about 20 minutes to be there and my computer is going slow for some reason.

lunamoonlight I was "working on homework" (totally watching gacha videos) when I forgot about class

KnightStar SAME! I acciden

KnightStar *accidently miss classes while I'm doing other stuff on the internet..XD

Queeny Same! Not something I'm proud of but I can relate XD

lunamoonlight for me, i just watch gacha and go on kidznet, but since my mom used to work with computers (and knows what a computer history is) i delete it off my history so she will never knu...

Queeny Lol, my mom used to have this thing on my computer where I couldn't look up ANYTHING without her permission cuz it forced me to "send my parent an email and wait for their permission" my mom hardly checks her emails, and I need to get to that site now! Glad I'm signed out of it. My parents sure are control freaks sometimes when it comes to the internet!

lunamoonlight Ha! I think my mom would get to many emails for that and she can't download stuff on mine, cuz its a tempory school computer. But she checks my history a lot, luckly I know how to delete YouTube and such off my history'

GemHeart LOLZ, Queeny. That's my computer RN. Have to send emails for everything. EVERYTHING

One of my proudest moments was probably when I sang a song I wrote to my class a few years ago, after that, the teacher turned it into a poem and my class said the poem version in front of the school ( and the teacher pointed out I wrote it and a few of the kids from other classes were complementing it even a couple year after I did it, another kid in my class got inspired by it and made another song out of it, and the next day when I walked in a couple students started clapping.

lunamoonlight So, that was a happy moment I can remember in my school life, probably the only one.

KnightStar Wow! That's lucky of you!

GemHeart Whoa, that's awesome!!!

lunamoonlight yeah, i still have a bit of stage fright so i was also terrified

I know barely any of you will relate, but I have liked all my teachers, except one who even my mom didn't like. It was my first grade teacher (I'm in middle school now), and the reason I didn't like that teacher was because the teacher would let kids bully me, kids could be bullying me all day, she didn't do anything, but the moment I retaliate (cause I was like, 5 and had major anger issues) I would get in trouble, sent outside to the hall, get a call home, and everything. My mom knew this and brought it up up at confrences in 1st grade, and asked "If my child is the only one doing anything wrong, why is she coming home every night crying the kids were bullying her?" because I actually would, and according to the teacher I was the only one bullying anyone or doing anything wrong. That's messed up. Why do teachers let this happen, cause I can't recall one time that teacher ever said anyone was in trouble but me. All I had was anger issues (I still sorta do) when people bully me, if people didn't bully me, I wouldn't have done anything. I don't deny that I got in trouble for stuff I DID do, but I'm wondering why when people did the exact same thing, no one did anything to say their in trouble. And 1st grade was when my best friend and only friend at that time moved away so I didn't have anyone defending me either.

lunamoonlight Wow. I wrote a lot more than I thought I did.

lunamoonlight 1st grade was probably the worst school year I ever had.

KnightStar I did K12 since I was 7, now I'm in middle school. First grade was bad, but I barely remember it!

TheUltimateRealDude1 I'm a middle schooler as well! OI AUTOCORRECT!! SCHOOLER IS A FLIPPIN' WORD!!

GemHeart I went to public school til 3rd grade. I liked all my teachers! Except my English teacher, who hated my brother because he was terrible at writing. She was really mean, sat him in a group with, ahem, "troublemakers" (but she thought of them as retards, which was totally wrong to me). My brother hated her, but didn't show it. My best teachers (besides my Mum) was my Kindergarten teacher (she was old and is probably dead now, but she was so sweet) and my 2nd grade assistant teacher (she loved me and would open my pudding cups and lick off the tops XD, just like my dad). But I had some bad memories. A girl who was my "friend" was always jealous of my part of being a quad.

KnightStar My English teacher now hates me!

Queeny First grade was pretty bad for me too, but not because of the teacher's, but because of the students. (And partly the teachers I guess.) Some kid kicked me in my leg, and he never got in trouble for it! This wasn't a one time only thing, a lot of kids did this, not kicking, but they would definitely push me till I fell. It sucked, but as a first grader I forgot about it the day after. Looking back, I probably should've told someone...

lunamoonlight One time a kid slammed my fingers in a door, I was crying, the teacher present didn't even send me to the nurse, the bully didn't get in trouble, my fingers were numb. This would be WHY I'm going online now. Cyber bullies? I can ignore people online. But it's hard to ignore it when someone is physically hurting you.

(this is mostly in Iowa, where I live, so some of you won't get this)
Tell me why, in the winter when the weather says there is going to be a big snow storm, why does everyone go to the store and buy eggs, milk and bread the most? If the weather knocks the power out, 2/3 of those are going to go bad.
Common sense has failed.

TheUltimateRealDude1 XD then my mom just moves everything to my Gran's!

GemHeart HAHAHAHAHA I actually get it. Used to be like than in TN!

KnightStar Haha

There is reason I don't trust some charities. Like charities that ask for money and offer T-shirts, bags, blankets, ect, How do they get money for the T-shirts, bags, blankets, ect? Shouldn't ALL the money go to the actual charity? *cough* ASPCA *cough*

lunamoonlight Honestly, except for stuff like this, I have nothing against charities, I actually donate when I can, I just check out the charity first. I like charities like Last Hope. I have also donated $127 (with some money I had and some from my parents they let me donate with) to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, which was actually more because I lost one of my friends a few year ago because she had Leukemia.

TheUltimateRealDude1 Oh quit

TheUltimateRealDude1 Oh quit

TheUltimateRealDude1 😱

TheUltimateRealDude1 😱

GemHeart I've never donated money, but we've donated so many toys and clothes and books to Goodwill and Salivation Army!

GemHeart LOL, salivation. I mean Salvation!

lunamoonlight waitm i had a couple comment, where'd they go?

Queeny My family donates to Salivation Army too! Sometimes we'll also go to this Charity based event, but the price will either be 2 cans of food per person or something like that, so we don't spend real money too often. (Unless it's of course an event we really want to go to and have to pay for)

lunamoonlight I have donated to Last Hope Animal Charity and the Leukimia and Lynphoma Soicety(100% sure i spelled that wrong)

I saw this when I looked up acrostic school poems:

Leader

Leads with confidence and integrity
Encourages others to help achieve their goal
Analyzes the situation and gives advise
Desires to be a role model for others
Earns the right to be leader
Remains true to one's beliefs

KnightStar Nice!

I told this at my old school once, to people who thought one of the kids had a homework doing machine

Me: Yeah, it's called a brain, why don't you use yours sometime?

FunHeart1010 XD

Queeny lol
