Ok, I hate hearing people talk about my little pony as a little girl's show, mlp has fanboys and fan girls and even grown ups still are watching mlp, it is a great show, the only main reason for it being "for little kids" is because people see the animation (and cuz their horses) and think it is for 5 year-olds but it isn't, there are many many people still watching it as adults and amazing fan fics of it, amazing songs that come from it, my little pony may be about friendship and whatnot but it actually has a good storyline in each season, there are several websites that show you it isn't just for little girls, like this one :

This is why I think mlp if all ages and not juust for girls.
Anyone else agree?

Queeny Well, I agree with you on the most part, but My Little Pony IS aimed for little girls, usually under the age of ten. It says it in the Wikipedia, "My Little Pony is a toy line and media franchise mainly targeting girls" I'm not sayin that only girls can watch, I've met many fans that are boys, but the purpose was for little girls. The story line may be more "complex" then others, but it is still simple enough for children to understand, which is the main point of a kids show. Also, I like that a large range of ages is watching it, I'm actually a fan of MLP myself, it's my childhood and what I grew up around, heck, I even watched the weird late 90's version to early 2000's. But, to be honest, the fans have kinda ruined it for me. The fandom's become so toxic, it's made me sad thinking about how twisted my favorite childhood show's become. I've even had this debate with a boy whom was a fan of it, and trust me it was unpleasant. The adult fans have made it seem like it's this complicated and deep message to humanity, when it's JUST a kid's show. That's it. I missed when it was just a show, nothing more, nothing less.
lunamoonlight It may be aimed more for younger girls, but I still believe it has a good concept, and I admire the numbers of how many fan boys and adults are still tuned into it. (I also like the updated version, Friendship Is Magic, rather than the other version because that was definitely more for kids, it couldn' even keep a storyline.) But all in all, I like the actual emotions in it and how everyone in the show is different and great in their own way, I have not stopped switching it at all since my mom first showed it to me as a kid. I think MLPFiM is one of the best shows not only for little girls.
JD2005 Agreed Queeny and Luna!
