WhizKid Sounds like a trick question, but I would say $20 income. He made $10 profit after the first deal ($20 - $10 = $10). Next, he made another deal at $10 profit too ($40-$30=$10). So $10 + $10 = $20 income. It can get confusing if you start thinking about him having to borrow money, since he may have started with only $10, but I don't think it really matters.
