Knight Star I’m just trying to get the book set up sorry. Since we don’t know each other in real life (you are probably already in middle school while I’m an elementary school baby) it will be sort of hard 😓 😓

KnightStar It's fine! And yeah, I'll message you about something's but I will have to do it on Kidztalk for Ammy K. to see. Anyways, I hope we can get a chapter out soon!

CSeriestechhero I'm in 5th grade and I'm a really good graphics designer and a computer whiz.

GemHeart Just message each other!

CSeriestechhero Yeah! BTW GemHeart, do you use a computer or a phone or something when using KidzNet because she uses a iPad which makes things different.

When u r texting ur dad:

Kid: Come quick plz there is a moth in the tub

Dad: u can handle it

Kid: PLZ DADDY IM SCARED

Dad: Dad is dead. Ur next

GWTreecko #dadjokes #lol 😂😂😂😂

CSeriestechhero But who told the boys that he was dead? or was it him playing tricks on the kid

FunHeart1010 XD

lunamoonlight My parents often "Mom's dead, do it yourself" but its sarcasm, just means she's busy and wants me to quit bothering her most of the time.

Queen157 Oh,the dad is just messing with him.

GemHeart XD I loved dis one

Check out my story so far

Silence

I looked through the window and saw the full moon’s light and the twinkling stars in the dark and mysterious sky of the night. My legs were hidden beneath my pink quilt. As I almost drifted of to sleep,I thought about the life in the big city with those kids who have no idea what it was like to play in a forest or to chase the pigs running and rolling their backs against the mud. I overheard Mama saying that one of the city people had called her a chimpanzee. After my dad’s death, Mama said that we don’t belong here anymore. I asked her “Why Mama? What is wrong with the farm?” She said nothing, and when I asked her again, she started crying. I hate seeing Mama cry,so I kept quiet and never thought about bringing the subject up.

Then one day,I could not take it anymore, and I said, “Mama! Tell me please! I need to know!” Mama sat next to me on the dusty grey sofa and told me the whole story. “Sweetie…”,she stuttered. “Dad did not leave us much good. He only left us with this farm and the animals to take care of. We need proper food and money...but we don’t have any. So we can’t keep the farm. We are gonna sell it to a family, who has good clothes, good children, good life…”,she stopped. There was a long pause. We both kept quiet for a few minutes. Then she said, “We better start packing, don’t we?” I nodded and headed toward my bedroom. I picked up my doll that Dad gifted me on my 7th birthday. I named her Cleopatra, the beautiful Egyptian queen. I put her in a small box, then I put the rest of my toys on top of her. I noticed that all of them were gifts from Dad. Then I cried a little bit. Just a little bit.

The trip to the city was even worse than I thought. My mom drove a tiny orange jeep that was dusty and old. We had it for a long time, but the car was still used and to my Mama,it was in “good shape”. We had to stop in the middle of the road because one of our tires had a huge hole on the bottom. There was a big traffic jam and cars started beeping. One man actually got out of his car and yelled, “MOVE, YOU NASTY HOOLIGANS!” A tow truck somehow managed to save us,even in all the traffic, and we had to stay in a building for 2 hours. After that,we were back on the road again, just driving until we arrived into our new home. When we were finally at a stop light, I asked Mama, “Were these type of stuff common in the city?” Mama turned her head and looked at me and replied, “Ida,you ask the silliest questions. Of course, I don’t know. We are both new to this wretched place,so no questions. Understand?” I nodded, because I understood Mama’s anger. After all, this was the city. Anything could happen.

An Hour Later

I entered the empty house. There was already furniture inside, including a picture frame of a boy on a wooden swing. The boy was sucking on a red popsicle and seemed to be kicking his feet with his little brown shoes. It reminded me of my favorite tree back home. It also had a wooden swing, but it was special. The swing was built by my father on my birthday. On that day, I walked blindfolded until my father cried, “Surprise!” Ever since then, I would swing on it during me free time. When Mama told me that I had to leave it, I cried my heart out. So now here I was, standing here looking at a painting in a small brick house. Mama tapped me on the shoulder and said, “Ida,do you want to see your bedroom? You’d love it.” I turned around and said, “Really,Mama? Do you actually want to live here?” Mama just stood there, speechless. I realized that I had done a big mistake when I had said that. Mama looked at me with her brown eyes and I can see the fiery anger raging inside of it. “Don’t you realize how far we have come?! You should be grateful, and this is what you’re doing! I couldn’t believe how you are behaving!”,she yelled.
