lunamoonlight @Country The otakus overthrew the comic book nerds lol. That's what happened. Plus Marvel and DC movies have been made several times and are watched more often than the comics are read.
Queeny @country have you seen the modern western comic industry? it's run by a bunch of hollywood elites and token hires that couldn't make a good story if they tried. Now Captain America is gay, She-Hulk is a raging feminist, Batman is in a love triangle with the Joker and Catwomen, Aguaman and Aqualad are both gay now, and Superman is black. And that's just what they've done with the mega popular characters, you don't want to know what kind of new stories they've attempted to come up with. DC and Marvel have prioritized politics and identity over actual storytelling, the golden age of comics died awhile ago. Sorry for going on a bit of a rant lol.
lunamoonlight @Queeny Yup. It's not even just comics. Hollywood's a joke at this point. All that's being made is remakes and knock-offs of old shows but more politically correct. This is why most of what I watch is either anime, because they actually have storylines and plots and it's Japanese so it's not westernized, or I watch movies and shows from the 90's or before. Examples, Dark Shadows, Dead Poet's Society (my favorite movie), The Crow, Legend, and more. Mostly because they actually have a point or a storyline.
