Online school comparison-
My school that will not be named- My school is using Google Classroom this year for the online students. Most of the teachers and students are familar with it because in past normal years we have used it already for some classes like SS, English and Reading. I am not sure how familar yall are with Classroom, i know LLM knows what it is. Basically, there are different classes the teacher must give you the code for to join, the teacher will post assignments and can chose how many points, when/if there is a due date, etc you get the point. It is pretty easy to use and get things done. As well as that, i can contact any teacher or student at my school when is earch their name in email. That is extremely convient when i want to talk or have questions on an assignment. The only badside is that my school installs Securly which blocks a lot of websites, even some educational ones my teachers try to post. And currently my computer is having issues with Google Docs and Google Slides because i am unable to see pictures me or the teacher upload. Obviously this creates problems and i will have to have my tech teacher check it out.
K12- Alright, so for positive things... the site for k12 was relatively easy to use and access all of my assignments. Blackboard was easy to use when we had to have a little Zoom-like-but-more-options meeting mon-thurs. Despite the easy-to-use sites, it was still hard to work because during those Blackboard meetigs, most kids would already be waiting for the teacher and since i gotbehind very quickly i always felt like an idiot if i had to ask the teacher in the main chat (i hate using mics) and when i PMed her she rarely got back to me before the time was over. Along with that, i was never aware of any other way to contact her, i never knew her email and Blackboard was the only way to contact her for the most part. Now with the courses themselves, take math for example, the modules were not easy for me to understand and i never understood what i was doing. Now here is a "Help Me" button on most modules, but it often wasnt anything related to my problems. Music class was nothing more than checking off boxes and sometimes going to a site where it took forever to get to your crappy lesson. Art was more like art history and it sucked. English, SS and Science were boring as heck and i never could complete the assignments in a good amount of time because i did not understand the Science expirments, SS was a mess, and i am terrible at essays, especially informitive, so i sucked and failed English, and one of the failed assignments was writing a poem, yall know me, i love writing poems. All in all, i hated k12 and almost failed everything. At least it didnt have Securly.
lunamoonlight Ya know, i love YouTube-
lunamoonlight So some people say it is an adult show however it is just the humor that is adult. It's like Family Guy or American Dad. It's kid-friendly otherwise, besides the demons and the hell setting.
