New poem on Power Poetry I wrote called "Darker Hours Darker People" :

Once someone asked me why I wasn't afraid of night
I said that the creatures hiding, causing people to fright
Were no worse than the ones shown in light
And that the demons below the ground outside
Were no worse than the ones inside
The ones that left people on a wild ride
And the angels up above the sky
Are no better than the demons, you ask me "why?"
No good lasts forever, no matter how hard we try
Why should I be afraid of the darker hours
When we let darker people in all power
And we wonder why the world is so somber
We know life ain't fair
People have lost any cares
But it's ourselves how got us here
We fight our inner wars
But leaves more scars
Why can't we be who we are?
It's our life we're losing
It's the path we're choosing
The demons are winning
Or have they already won?
Seeing this, I'm not the only one
Why has nothing been done
We're acting oh so blind
