I have got to say, i hate when people use fancy text (like somehing you copy and paste from CoolFonts) on Wattpad for a few reasons-
1. In stories, it is kinda unprofessional to randomly have fancy text in a story, kinda like if Rick Riordan udecided to put a page in bold in Percy Jackson for no reason. Even if it has a reason like a letter or note, italics would probably be what i would use.
2. It can be a bit distracting from the story, especially if the font is hard to read.
3. The biggest reason- I CAN'T READ IT. Unfortunately, my tablet does not recognize different fonts well, so all i see is a bunch of little rectangles with Xs. I usually have to type that in the comments of that paragraph and someone, either another user or the author, will normally reply. That is the only way i can read it. I can't change the font on another website or use a text-to-speech website because i don't know the characters and Wattpad is uncopy-and-pastable.
Queeny Agreeee, it looks so unprofessional. I think beginner writers use it cus they think it's cool and they want to make their story look nice, but it gives the opposite effect tbh.
CSeriestechhero Yeah thats because they are different Unicode characters and not all devices can display that so it shows as or □
CSeriestechhero I think i havent ran into that problem much. I had that issue on my phone for a yt video since there was not a fallback font in the youtube app (as it is composed of roboto and the youtube sans font for ads)
another time i ran into that was when i was using windows xp because its windows xp lol.
hey quick question mind telling us what tablet u have and what os? idk might be able to help figure out why
lunamoonlight It's better to use a standard font like Ariel or Times New Roman for books.
lunamoonlight I have a Galaxy Tab E (is it sad i had to go to my settings just to figure that out?).
