DukeSilver- I know that you probably don't care about what I'm saying here, if your not too sick of me yet, but I was just wondering what happened at the top. After your name (the author), there's an arrow, then my name.

lunamoonlight- @DukeSilver It means they were on your page when they made the post. For example, if you were on my profile page and made a post, it would do the same thing, and have an arrow towards my name.

(wouldn't let me post the comment, felt the explanation was needed tho)

DukeSilver Thanks.

lunamoonlight Yup!

So I'm looking into colleges more, and I think I found a relatively good one. The school is Alberta University of the Arts, which if you know your provinces, is in Canada, so it wouldn't be in the US, but that is fine. It has an acceptance rate of 50%, so it's average, I could probably get into it. The main reason I was looking into is because it's the college LavenderTowne went to. It is also extremely cheap, around 11,043.08 in USD for the international cost. The normal cost is cheaper, at around 3,449.66 USD. I say around because I had to convert CSD into USD, and a Canadian dollar is actually a little over a US dollar. So the price is certainly good, I've found some mixed reviews on it, some will say it's great, some will say it's not suited for professional artists, and stuff like that. As I've said, the location doesn't bother me. Yeah, it's cold, however, I'd much prefer cold over heat so eh. Alberta doesn't seem very expensive to live in. The art classes, from reviews, are more out of the box based on creativity, however, how much they teach the art skill is debatable. Overall, it's a lot of what I'm looking for in an art college. It has a couple of faults, but I think this will go on my list.

DukeSilver Go for it! But be careful about making too detailed life plans. Your entire life can change in the blink of an eye.

lunamoonlight Uh, in 4 years lol. I plan stuff early. My plan as of currently is to take specific classes in HS that are aimed towards an art degree, go to an art college, minor in psychology, and I have a main career to pursue and 2 backup jobs (I'm thinking of choosing tattooing as my trade). It is a relatively vague plan, it's just different things to give me a life I

lunamoonlight will be happy with*

Melody1546294 Yeah are you going to college soon?

JD2005 Cool!

KnightStar hahahaha im not paying a lot for college. im planning on going to the navy for u know... free stuff 0-0. but that's a back up plan. if everything goes well, yay, guess I won't have to go. if not, which is likely, cya in a few years cuz i just sold my life t.t.

lunamoonlight I'm not joining any branch of the military.

lunamoonlight I would be more likely to join a militia.

My English teacher and I-

Me- "I hope you have had a good day today. I was wondering if the "Friday Free Writing" prompt really matters as long as I write something? The reason is that I cannot think of a good story or even an interesting of paragraphs I could write with the prompt "someone getting their driver’s license/permit for the first time". To be honest, it's quite boring and I would rather write something else if the prompt/subject does not matter. Please get back to me soon."

My teacher- "Jaden,
Good writers should be able to write about anything. Granted, some topics prompt creativity more naturally than others, but sometimes the challenge is not in the writing itself, but in finding ways to make a "quite boring" topic work for you. Think about professional journalists. Often they are assigned topics to write about that they may or may not find interesting. They have to dig into the topic and find new ways to present seemingly boring things.
That being said, if you do not feel the need to accept that challenge, you may choose to write about a different topic. "

Me (not to my teacher)- Why that sneaky little... *debating taking the challenge, now that my good writer ego has been bruised*

Queeny A person gets their permit and immediately runs a guy over, they hide the body because they don't want their permit revoked, and now their car is cursed with the guy's ghost. Or something interesting-er..

lunamoonlight I- Queeny, you're a genius. I was gonna do a demon instructor or something, maybe crashing.

JD2005 @Queeny 👏🏻

CoralSophie08 @Queeny I didn't expect to see that in the comments-

Queeny I'm paying Luna back for doing part of my math homework lol.

lunamoonlight Yeah, I made art with triangles lol

I feel like everyone else I know and in my class is planning on either dropping out, using HS as a social thing and working whatever job, or just going to whatever college. Meanwhile, I've got a majority of my classes planned out for the next 4 years, have been looking into art colleges, know what I want to do with my life, already know I will major in art, minor in psychology, and find a good college that teaches both well, I will learn a trade, probably at that college, then when I graduate, I will pursue a job as a psychiatrist, while also pursuing an art career, and if I am unable to obtain a job as a psychiatrist, then I will get a job with the trade while still pursuing the other two. This way, I pursue art most, I can also try to get a job that I want and am interested in, and I'll pick a relatively well-paying trade and that won't make me hate my job. That way, I can live doing a job that I like no matter what it is. The trade is just my backup since it's usually easier to get a trade job. I will still pursue art most. But, this way I can be stable and somewhat happy with my job no matter what happens. Oh, and I intend on living somewhere on the edge of this country, just in case a 2nd civil war happens, or this country gets any worse. Maybe Alaska, I'd like to live there. So yeah, I have my life planned out, meanwhile, most people around me are planning on getting whatever job or dropping out, or just settling for a trade job.

JD2005 Wow.

lunamoonlight Yup. I plan ahead. I have a pessimist side, so I see the worst and then plan for it with safety nets. I also have an optimist side, wanting to follow my dreams of being an artist. Then the realist in the middle prepares what it will take to get there.

CoralSophie08 I mean, same here. Oh my gosh, one of my friends (wants to become a plastic surgeon) literally said "Med School is going to take so long, I might have to drop out early," Like, don't you need all A's on a report card to get into Med School? hmm... No diploma, no COLLEGE

lunamoonlight ... med school wouldn't take 60 years, they would have plenty of time in their lifetime. Besides, dropping out looks REALLY BAD to colleges and future employers, and they would need to get their GED (General Equivalency Diploma, my parents both needed theirs). I don't think you can get into a college without a diploma. You don't need all A's (it depends on the college, but you can get into Yale as long as your the top of your class, meaning you could still have B's and such, and Yale is Ivy League). I do recommend they study like Tartarus, however. Med school will not be easy.

A normal set of friends- *talking about whatever's popular or going on in their lives*
Queeny and I- *roleplaying, her being a person with demon monsters in their house, me being a researcher of the supernatural, and we both talk somewhat formal and occasionally Shakespearian, kind of like some old letters*

GemHeart LOL IKR that’s me too-

JD2005 LOL 😂
