I think I'm gonna try to reach out to my guidance counselor and see if I could create a Literature Club at school. I checked my school's list of JR/SR clubs, and they don't have any club like it, the closest is a journaling club. But I want something similar to a classical book club at school, but with more than just books. Poems, books, short stories, from authors like Frost, Poe, Dickens, Keating, Walt Whitman, and such. I say my guidance counselor because she is the most active person at my school for staff, she covers a lot of different things. But I want a club meant to dissect the meanings behind famous works like The Tell-Tale Heart, Oh, Me! Oh, Life!, Lenore, The Road Not Taken, and others, for people at my school who might bother to learn them. It's a long shot, I don't know who would join, but I want to start it. I might ask my friend Patrick, the Anime Club president, how he became that, if he started it or if he just joined. I think it would be a good idea. What do y'all think?

So for a Tell-Tale Heart summary I had to make, my teacher wanted me to use a specific format of summarizing called SWBST. It stands for Somebody Wanted _____ But ____ So____ Then____. I did the assignment and left this note for the teacher (picture). Then, she replied
"Jaden, I appreciate your reflection of the SWBST strategy. You are correct, it is a very basic standardized way to write a summary. The assignment was in no way to assess your creativity or ability to analyze a text. I simply wanted to see if you could write a standardized summary. I do appreciate that you are able to think and write critically of a text and I always enjoy reading your work because it is done with thought and creativity."
